Zena left home at 16. There was domestic abuse. A period with no fixed home. The medical system — medicated, diagnosed, and largely overlooked.

At 22, after eight surgeries for gut health, doctors recommended a colostomy bag. She avoided it through somatic work and nervous system regulation alone, before she had the clinical language for any of what she was doing.
